PTR Activities and Events

In collaboration with the staff and teachers, the PTR organizes the following events and activities at the school on an on-going basis.

Join us for Pastries and Coffee Every Friday!

Join us Friday mornings 8:30am-9am throughout the school year for our weekly Bread & Cie pastry sale. Proceeds fund student and family activities hosted by the PTR. It’s also a great great chance to meet other parents and connect with the school community. Keep an eye on the PTR newsletter for meetups specific to each grade level so you can get to know parents of your children’s classmates! Pastries can be purchased at the table or ordered in advance for Friday pick-up.

At the end of the school year after the final show, the PTR hosts a carnival for kids and their families that includes: food, jumpers, games, and more!

Be on the lookout for smaller community building events and opportunities to support the PTR in enriching our children’s experience.

PTR Fundraisers

The PTR organizes and coordinates several fundraisers throughout the school year to raise funds for projects that benefits the  students and the school.  In the past, the PTR has funded equipment for the playground, equipment for PE classes, shade structures, a 3D printer for the STEAM program, and sound dampening panels in the auditorium. We have supported La Petite Plume (students’ newspaper), secured furniture donations, and funded various school events for students and families throughout the year. In planning for back-to-school during the pandemic, the PTR funded the acquisition of recess toys to facilitate social distancing and enlisted volunteers to paint hopscotch and obstacle courses in the preschool and elementary recess yards! 

Every Friday Morning! Click the photo to Pre-order. Pre-orders must be received by Wednesday at noon.
They grow so fast! Twice a year we hold a uniform exchange. Donation of $3-5 per gently used item.
Waterproof name labels for clothing & other items. Select "Support a Fundraiser" and enter LFSD PTR (San Diego).
Student portraits provide our families with lasting memories. The donation to the PTR is a bonus!
Lynch Creek Farm. Purchase fresh wreaths and other festive items for the holidays. Starts in November.
Donation with tuition. Thank you to all the parents who choose to donate additional funds with their regular tuition payment plan.
Bûche de Noël from The French Delights in Carlsbad. Starts in December.
Most large companies have a donation matching program to invest in non-profit organizations. Those budgets are used up early in the fiscal year, so please work with your company HR representative to inquire about how you can participate and double your donation to LFSD!

Fundraising in Action

In addition to hosting fun events that foster community and school spirit for our LFSD families, PTR funds also support special projects to enrich our students’ experience. Below are some examples of past PTR funded projects.
